In recent days, the 2023 National Nonferrous Metal Industry Quality and Standards Conference merged with the annual convention of the National Nonferrous Metal Standardization Technical Committee, taking place in Kunming, Yunnan. The conference recognized outstanding contributions by presenting awards for the 2023 Technical Standards Excellence and Advanced Workers in Standardization. Hailiang owing to its exceptional performance in the nonferrous standards field, was awarded the first prize for Technical Standards Excellence.
Mr. Cao Jianguo, Chairman of the Board of Hailiang Group and Chairman of Hailiang, attended the event as a guest. Dr. Peng Long, Assistant Vice President of Hailiang Group and Director of the Research Institute, represented the company on stage to receive the award.
The Technical Standards Excellence awards included three first prizes, seven second prizes, and twelve third prizes.
Hailiang took the lead in the development of the national mandatory standard GB 21350-2023, The norm of energy consumption per unit product of copper and cope-alloy tube. This achievement surpassed numerous competing projects, securing the first prize for Technical Standards Excellence in 2023. GB 21350-2023 plays a crucial role in promoting the green development of the copper and copper alloy processing industry. It enhances energy efficiency, promotes energy conservation, and drives technological advancements, signifying its importance in achieving sustainable development in the nonferrous metal industry. Simultaneously, Mr. Wei Lianyun, Director of the Intellectual Property Management Department at Hailiang's Research Institute, was recognized as an advanced contributor.
To standardize the management of copper foil energy consumption, improve energy management levels, and enhance the market competitiveness and industry influence of copper foil, Hailiang's Research Institute, in collaboration with Gansu Hailiang New Energy Materials, proposed the development plan for the national standard The norm of energy consumption per unit product of copper and copper-alloy tube to the Nonferrous Metal Standardization Committee at the conference. Dr. Luo Chong, Vice General Manager and Director of the Research Institute at Gansu Hailiang New Energy Materials, participated in the conference and presented the work plan and content on behalf of the company. Currently, the project is in the pre-research stage.
Hailiang Group's standardization management work has consistently led the industry's standardization development and has become a crucial means for high-quality industry development. Hailiang Stock Research Institute, serving as the technological innovation platform responsible for the research and development of Hailiang Stock's products and equipment, as well as the management of intellectual property rights, not only undertakes the upgrading of products, technologies, and equipment but also takes charge of the formulation of relevant standards. To date, it has led or participated in the revision of approximately 60 national or industry standards, receiving awards such as the "China Standard Innovation Contribution Award," second and third prizes, among others. The group standard Seamless Internal Thread Copper Tube received the Excellent Contribution Award for Standard Innovation in 2023 in Shaoxing City.
