June 29th witnessed the holding of 2019 China Copper Processing Industry Annual Conference & China (Shaoxing) Copper Industry Development Summit organized by Hailiang Group in Zhuji. A number of themed forums covering all aspects of the copper processing industry were held: 7 experts delivered reports at the Copper Processing Market and Capital Forum; 8 speakers shared excellent speeches at the Copper Strip and Foil Industry Development Forum; 7 topics were discussed at the Bar Line and Special Processing Industry Development Forum, and 4 experts attended the Copper Processing Industry Technology Achievement Exchange Meeting to share their experience.
At the Bar Line and Special Processing Industry Development Forum, Chairman Cao Jianguo of Hailiang Group, as chairman of the Forum, delivered opening remarks. Vice general manager Dong Zhiqiang of Zhejiang Hailiang served as host of the second session of the forum. Deng Bin, director of Zhejiang Hailiang Technology Center, addressed a speech themed as “Study on the development of small-diameter high-efficiency copper tube technology for refrigeration”. From the perspectives of “development of small-diameter high-efficiency copper tube market” and “analysis of small-tube high-efficiency copper tube replacement technology” and “pre-analysis of small-diameter high-efficiency copper tube development”, he emphasized the importance of technological innovation on the development of copper industry, winning a big round of applause.
At the Copper Processing Market and Capital Forum, Si Tingru, head of Zhejiang Hailiang’s Net inventory Management Department, addressed a keynote speech on “Experience & Enlightenment of Zhejiang Hailiang’s Practical Operation Experience in Value Preservation”. During the speech making, he shared the management experience that he concluded from managing Hailiang’s net inventory. It is well known that Hailiang’s “net inventory” and other risk management systems have long been a model, which is unparalleled in the industry.
In the afternoon, participants were organized to visit Hailiang Nonferrous Intelligent Manufacturing Park, Hailiang Coil Production Workshop and Hailiang Education Park.
A total of 6.128 billion CNY was invested in building the Park with a planned area of 1,000 acres. According to plan, the project will be implemented in three phases: the first phase is predicted to complete “Intelligent energy saving and emission reduction and land relocation and expansion project with an annual output of 400,000 tons of copper and copper alloy rods”; the second phase plans to launch “Construction project with an annual output of 150,000 tons of precision aluminum”; and the third phase is expected to implement “Up/downstream extension project and innovative experimental platform construction project in the field of nonferrous metal processing”. The whole project is expected to be completed before December 2022.
